Surge in Number of Students seeking STEM MBA Courses
Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has released its survey “Prospective Students” for the year 2024 highlighting the increased surge of management students interested in learning about generative AI. GMAC is currently facing a watershed moment with worldwide 40% of students keen on developing AI capabilities.
A parallel trend can be observed in India as there is a rise in demand for STEM certified business programs. From being 43% in the year 2019 it has increased to 57% in the year 2023. The survey of the year 2024 also reveals that the “candidates expect graduate business education to help them advance social impact as a part of their professional and personal goals.
Their strong desire to build on evergreen skills leadership in an uncertain world, data-driven- problem solving, human capital management persists even though their preference for delivery formats and study destinations may shift” says Joy Jones, CEO of GMAC.
