Course Overview
The Online M.A. Urdu is a 2-year (4-semester, extendable to 4 years) postgraduate programme offered by CDOE, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Gachibowli, Hyderabad, NAAC 'A+' Grade accredited, with UGC-DEB recognition.
The 20-course curriculum (including a Dissertation/Project) covers Lisaniyaat (Linguistics), Tareekh-e-Adab-e-Urdu (History of Urdu Literature), Dastaan, Classical Verse Forms (Masnavi, Qaseeda, Marsiya, Rubai), Dakni Adab, Urdu Ghazal, Urdu Novel, Allama Iqbal studies, Tanqeed (Criticism), Urdu Afsana (Short Story), Urdu Nazm (Poetry), and Mutalat-e-Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
Students build literary-criticism, translation and research skills, culminating in a Dissertation/Project in the final semester.
The medium of instruction is Urdu.
