Entrance exam: We admit to all five Online programmes on eligibility and document verification. Our published pages do not describe a separate written entrance test for any of these five programmes.

Practical trap on MA Economics specifically: we cannot admit a graduate who never studied Economics as a subject, even with strong marks elsewhere. Confirm your degree transcript lists Economics before you apply.

How to Apply to SVU Online

This is our exact admission sequence, start to finish.

1. Register once through our applicant login, on our admissions portal.

2. Create your ABC-ID through DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in). We require this Academic Bank of Credits ID under UGC rules, for every applicant.

3. Register your DEB-ID at deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDEBId. We treat this as separate from your ABC-ID, and specific to distance/online learners.

4. Upload your documents and submit your application form to us.

5. Pay your fee through our EPay portal.

6. Get your portal access. We assign you to student.svuddeonline.in (Annual Pattern) or student.svucdoe.ac.in (Semester Pattern), depending on your admission track.

Practical trap: we see applications stall most often when a student skips the ABC-ID or DEB-ID step. Complete both before you touch our fee payment page — an incomplete ID step can block your portal access even after payment.

Assignment Submission and Examination Guidelines

Assignments: we run two separate assignment tracks, one for our Annual Pattern and one for our Semester Pattern, each published as its own document on our site.

Examinations: we publish rolling exam notifications by session — for example, we've issued semester exam timetables and fee-deadline extensions for our July 2026 batch on our CDOE site. Watch our Examinations menu for your specific batch notification, since dates shift by session.

Results: we publish DDE results by session on our site, going back to 2014, alongside current-session result links as they're issued.

Practical trap: we extend exam-fee payment deadlines fairly often — we've pushed deadlines multiple times within a single exam cycle. Don't treat a first-listed date as final; check our latest notification before you assume you've missed a window.

Our Digital Learning Setup

We deliver every one of our five Online programmes through the same core setup:

• Live sessions plus recorded lectures, through our LMS, so you can rewatch a class you missed for work.

• Assignments and assessments, submitted inside the same portal.

• Lab work every semester, specifically for our MCA.
