Course Overview
The Online M.A. Arabic is a 2-year (4-semester, extendable to 4 years) postgraduate program offered by CDOE, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Gachibowli, Hyderabad, NAAC 'A+' Grade accredited, with UGC-DEB recognition.
The 18-course curriculum covers Classical and Modern Arabic Prose and Poetry, Grammar (4 levels), History of Arabic Literature, Rhetoric and Prosody, Literary Criticism, Arabic Literature in Andalus, Indian Arabic Literature, Fundamentals of Research, and Arab Diaspora Literature.
Students build classical and modern Arabic textual-analysis and translation skills, across the 4-semester structure.
The medium of instruction is Arabic/Urdu; candidates entering through the Arabic-as-subject route must also complete the Diploma in Urdu before their final MA result is issued.
